Questions people actually ask us

Not the generic stuff — the things Rancho Mirage dog owners actually want to know before they hire someone.

What do you actually do with the waste you collect?

We bag it, seal it, and haul it off your property the same visit. It doesn't sit in your bin, and it doesn't go in your household trash unless you specifically want it there.

Do I need to be home, and should I unlock the gate?

You don't need to be home for the visit. We do need a way in, though — either the gate left unlatched or a code you've given us. We're not going to climb a fence, so if we show up and can't get in, that visit just gets skipped and we'll let you know.

My dog isn't great with strangers — is that a problem?

Not at all, as long as you let us know ahead of time. Just keep your dog inside or somewhere separate during the visit. We're not going to push our way into a yard with a dog that clearly doesn't want us there.

Is there a contract I have to sign?

No. It's month-to-month, plain and simple. If you want to pause for a while or stop altogether, just tell us before your next billing date and that's it.

We're going out of town — do we still get billed?

No. Just give us a heads-up before your scheduled visit and we'll skip it. We only charge you for visits we actually show up and do.

Our yard's gotten pretty bad — will you still take it on?

Yes, and honestly this happens more than you'd think. A yard that's gone a few weeks (or longer) without any cleanup takes more time to clear than a normal visit, so that first cleanup is priced separately based on how much there is to deal with. Once it's caught up, your regular weekly rate kicks in from then on.

Do you charge more if I have a big yard?

For bigger lots, yes — it just takes longer to walk and check everything properly. We'll ask about your yard size on the phone so you get an honest number up front instead of a surprise later.

Do you clean the front yard, or just the back?

Whatever your dog actually uses. Most people here only let their dog out back, so that's usually all we touch — but if your dog's in the front yard too, we'll cover that at no extra charge.

Are you licensed and insured?

We'd rather talk that through with you directly by phone or email than post a boilerplate answer here that doesn't really tell you anything. Call or email us and ask — we'll give you a straight answer.

What if it rains on my scheduled day?

We'll reschedule for the next available day and let you know ahead of time. It doesn't rain often here, but when it does, we're not going to slog through mud for no reason.

Can I switch from weekly to twice-a-week later if I need to?

Sure — call or email us and we'll adjust your plan. A lot of people bump up to twice-a-week during peak summer when the heat makes waste build up faster, then drop back down once it cools off.
